about me

Glauber Brennon in 2013

I'm Glauber Brennon, a software engineer and musician. This is where I keep notes about my work and the projects I maintain.

work

I've worked in the software industry since 2011. Before that, I worked exclusively with embedded systems.

I have a passion for clean, maintainable code. Nowadays, I spend a lot of time working with Rust and Python.

My work centers on resilient systems, decoupled architecture, and reusable engineering tools. I work mainly with Rust and Python, and I maintain projects that explore these ideas in practice.

recovery

I have been rebuilding my mobility after a serious accident and hip surgery. I am walking again and continue to work through recovery.

music

In the black metal project Black Cascade, I'm Vomentis Pestem on vocals. The name comes from a Wolves in the Throne Room album.

The project's first album is available through a YouTube release. The second album, Black Cascade, is available through the project's YouTube channel.

The channel also includes live presentations, another live presentation, and a third live presentation.

The March to The Black Monolith rehearsal is especially important to me. There is also a Fate of All Fools rehearsal.

I'm currently writing songs for another personal black metal project called Black Singularity.

projects

forging-blocks

forging-blocks logo

I maintain forging-blocks, a Python toolkit of composable abstractions and interfaces for writing clean, testable, and maintainable software. It is intentionally a toolkit rather than a framework: use the pieces you need without being forced into one architecture.

ephact

I maintain ephact, a Rust crate and terminal tool for running supported Forgejo, GitHub, and Woodpecker workflows locally in Linux containers using Docker or Podman.

For a separate creative page based on my public profile writing, see the sum of all evils.
